TVB features kindergarten visit
Our Dr Dog programme featured on Hong Kong's TVB network, when they came along to film our inaugural visit to the Baptist kindergarten on the Tsui Lam public housing estate in the New Territories, at the end of October 2008.
Drs Jack, Baby, P Jai, Fergus, Luka and Rudy enthralled and entertained around 150 preschool children, not to mention their teachers and parents, throughout the morning. The whole visit was filmed by TVB attracting quite a crowd of onlookers, and was aired some three weeks later on the popular "Pleasure and Leisure" afternoon show presented by Anderson Junior and Halina Tam Siu Wan. Animals Asia staff were able to demonstrate the stiff selection process that dogs have to get through to become Dr Dogs. Each of the dogs present had their own feature at the end of the show.

Kindergarten Principal Eva Lee said after the visit: "While human beings seem to dominate the world, the importance of understanding the balance between human living and animals should start from early education. To raise this awareness and nurture the care and love towards animals, our kindergarten has organised this visit of Dr Dog. Through activities and observations, children interact directly with them (the dogs) and learn to take care of humans' best friends." We hope to be conducting many more visits to Tsui Lam. And through the medium of television, many more people have now had the chance to see the wonderful work our doggy doctors do!
